I am more than happy to write a 5 star review for Long Island Ophthalmic Concepts. I had a successful visit yesterday with Dr Tung and his staff. My husband and I have been patients of George Tung for over 20 years. He is superb and deals with the whole patient. He is a doctor who listens to his patients. His last words to me as I decide when to have cataract surgery was " we are here for you whatever you decide". So comforting. Thank you, Dr Tung

As usual an excellent experience with Dr. Tung. I've been under the care ot Dr. Tung for 20 plus years, my mother was a patient as well and was extremely happy with the doctor. My sister sees Dr. Tung and very happy. I just recommended my daughter who will be making an appointment with the office. A 5 STAR DOCTOR

The staff is always great! Dr Tung is one of my favorite doctors ever. He's a nice personable man. He takes time and also asks questions which doctors should do. I always have a great experience.

Dr. Tung was excellent, but the office staff was completely incompetent. When I went to pick up my medication at CVS, it wasn’t there. After calling the doctor’s office, I learned they had mistakenly sent my prescription to another patient. Aside from being a HIPAA violation, this caused me a lot of inconvenience as I had to get them to fix the issue. They apologized, and I confirmed my new pharmacy information with them since I had moved. The staff assured me they had updated the address of my new pharmacy in their system. However, when I returned to CVS, they still didn’t have my prescription. After investigating, I found out they sent it to my old pharmacy. So I was delayed and inconvenienced again. For an ophthalmologist office, it seems like the staff are the ones who need their eyes examined!

I was seen at the Great Neck office. Everyone was very pleasant and efficient. Dr Tung made me very comfortable explaining everything and reassuring me that he would be able to successfully replace the lens in my eye. He was caring about my fears and elevated those fears.

Great experience during both my kids annual exam. The office personnel were courteous, friendly and accommodating. Techs were amazingly professional. Dr. Li was fantastic- she took her time to explain every detail during the examination, my 5 year old was a little nervous but Dr. Li quickly made her comfortable and at ease. She took her time and was incredibly kind and personable. Great experience during this visit and would highly recommend to all that is looking for great professional and friendly service.

This office is run efficiently by all staff. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and kind. I felt extremely comfortable with Dr. Tung after meeting him for the first time. He explained everything so I understood my diagnosis. Parking was not so easy. Update: The office was renovated; it looks beautiful.

I deeply trust both Dr. Yi and Dr. Tung when it comes to the health of my eyes.
The staffs are super efficient and work like a well-oiled machine. Rarely do I have to wait to see the doctor at my scheduled appointment time.

Saw Dr. Tung for an updated exam in early January 2025 at his Bellmore location. He and his staff continue to run a very efficient and professional office. My visit took about an hour and included the usual battery of eye exams, concluding with Dr. Tung's review of all findings and his own "hands-on" eye exam. Any questions I had were answered completely, and I was reassured that my cataracts were not yet to the point of requiring surgery. I left with an enhanced understanding of my current vision status and with a deep appreciation for the care I receive from LIOC.
